I sometimes read things on the Internet. For instance, I was reading Alex Ross's weblog, The Rest is Noise, and I followed a link to a Washington Post page that's part of a Post project called The U.S. Congress Votes Database. The intention is clear, and the goal is noble.

But look at the sixth possible way you can filter the vote totals on any given piece of legislation.
