Since this seems to be the latest big blogging phenomenon, it would be negligent of me not to post it: The American Family Association is conducting an online "poll" on gay marriage, which they plan to present to Congress [link]. I've read that bloggers and online fora have been spreading the message like wildfire to supporters of gay marriage. In little more than a day, the numbers have gone from 98% opposed to 39% opposed. Watching this process is very amusing. The AFA, a pro-life organization, is sadly discovering that its mostly elderly constituents are less adept at using the internet for political advantage than today's youth. According to legitimate surveys, people under 25 are overwhelmingly in favor of gay marriage, and are overwhelmingly better at using modern technology.

CNN.com - Dead body ignored by Osaka crowds - Dec. 17, 2003: "TOKYO, Japan (AP) -- Police in western Japan say a man's dead body was ignored by crowds on a busy downtown street corner for two months before a taxi driver finally alerted authorities. The body, believed to be that of a homeless man in his late 60s or early 70s, was found in front of a popular department store in the crowded downtown area of Osaka, Japan's second-largest city. A police official said it was partially decomposed by the time authorities collected it earlier this month. According to the official, the deputy chief of the local police precinct, the corner is among the busiest in the city, with about a million people passing through the area each day."

Barney Cam II: Barney Reloaded
At least Bush is a better actor than Keanu Reeves. The Ari Fleischer bit is, I think, genuinely funny. The whole thing has a surrealist quality to it, especially the final sequence with the dog walking around the White House. Weird.
