"I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day." -Douglas Adams

Well, this is my last night in Salt Lake. In a few minutes, the computers will shut down and be loaded into the car. I will go into internet blackout for a couple of days. I will emerge from this blackout in Edmonton, at the heart of the Great White North (Canada). My wife is coming with me. It is extremely bizarre for me to say that. In the morning we will pack a meager portion of our already meager posessions and drive off into the horizon in our new car. We have a six-month lease at an apartment we've never seen. This is the first time I've ever truly packed up and headed away from Utah, probably forever. Erin certainly won't miss much, but I will. I take this moment to say goodbye to all my friends, good riddance to all my enemies, and "feh" to those with no strong relationship to me. It's strange that even typing an impersonal goodbye on a web log makes me a little choked up. I'm glad I didn't really attempt to say it out loud to anyone. Well, I'm off now, and I wish everyone well.
